Donate Supplies & Resources

Hosting youth and adult programs at schools takes resources. Exact supplies will vary by school, so contact your local Extension agent or school to learn more about what they need.

Examples of specific donations:

  • Supplies for building and maintaining raised garden beds (lumber, soil, seeds, tools, etc.) for Learn, Grow, Eat, & Go!
  • Ingredients and food supplies to host Dinner Tonight! or another program.
  • Small prizes or gift bags to motivate educators in Walk Across Texas! Adult or other adult programs.

Donate Time as a Master Gardener

Master Gardeners are volunteers with special training in horticulture. Contact your local Extension agent for more information.

Donate Time as a Master Wellness Volunteer

Master Wellness Volunteers provide outreach and education with and through their local County Extension Agent. This is a very versatile volunteer opportunity with a lot of different options. This can include giving presentations for local community groups, assisting with healthy cooking demonstrations, distributing information at health fairs, working with schools and after school programs, and data entry.

Master Wellness Volunteers receive 40 hours of education and training related to health, nutrition, and food safety, among other topics, and serve a 40-hour internship alongside their local County Extension Agent. Once certified, Master Wellness Volunteers provide outreach and education with and through their local County Extension Agent to help Texans better their lives.

Previous health or wellness training is not required but an interest in living healthfully, and helping others do the same, is important.
