Program Overview:

The MyPlate Ambassadors program trains high school students to promote MyPlate education in Texas. You can choose the MyPlate Influencer track and work on a nutrition change project in your school or community, or the MyPlate Educator track where you teach younger students about MyPlate and healthy eating habits. 

Track Options

  • MyPlate Influencer – Work on a nutrition change project, which could include:
    • Improving school’s wellness policy
    • Adding new recipes to school cafeteria menu
    • Advancing agriculture in schools
    • Your own idea!
  • MyPlate Educator – Work alongside cooperative extension to teach MyPlate curriculum to younger students
    • Dig In!
    • Discover MyPlate
    • Serving Up MyPlate
